How to Find a Phrase with No Extra Words in Playphrase.me

To make Search & Learn return only fragments containing exactly the words you entered, put the entire query in double quotes: "hello". The matching fragment will have no words before or after the query.
Without quotes, the search is broader. An unquoted hello can match a longer line with the word at the beginning, middle, or end.
What Changes in Real Searches
On August 12, 2026, the ordinary query hello returned Yeah, you smiled at him and said hello. as its first result. The word appears, but the full line is much longer than the query.
The quoted query "hello" returned the standalone Hello. as its first result, with no words before or after it.
Two more checks showed the same difference:

These were the first results in that specific check, so their ordering may change over time. The query "hello" was lowercase, while the result appeared as Hello. with an uppercase letter and a period. Here, exactness refers to the words and the fragment boundaries, not letter case or the final period.
