How to find a movie or TV show from an English line

Enter the words you remember from a scene in Playphrase.me. Each result shows the source title and the excerpt's timestamp below the video, taking you from a familiar line to a movie or episode in which it appears.

Start with the part you are sure of; you do not need to reconstruct the whole sentence. Put an asterisk, *, between known words if something is missing. If you remember only separate words, check the suggestions for a possible complete phrase.

One quote can lead to several movies

The query may the force be with you finds different scenes, including one from Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi (2017). This confirms that the phrase occurs in that movie. A single match cannot establish that it is the movie you remember, or that it was the first to use the phrase.

Short everyday lines produce especially broad matches. I love you or Let's go can supply examples of usage, but recognizing one particular scene will require more words or other details.

Playphrase.me searches its own movie and TV collection. If the source is absent, even an exact quote cannot find that scene. When results are empty, check the spelling and try a shorter fragment first: the remembered wording may be wrong even if the movie title is right.
